The CIPD West of England’s Annual Conference, ‘Survival of the Fittest’ has been postponed due to the adverse weather conditions and will now be on the 26th February 2010 at the Canalside Conference Centre, Bridgwater.

The events programme has been completed and distributed, and I am delighted that the Committee have arranged over 50 events running from September 2009 to June 2010.

We have our usual mix of Employment Law updates and interactive events, our Annual HR & Training Conference ‘Survival of the Fittest’  early next year, as well as the possibility of running a joint event with the Institute of Directors.

The finalised Annual Report for the CIPD West of England Branch 2008 / 2009 has been submitted to Head Office and published on the front page of the West of England website http://www.cipd.co.uk/branch/wengland

This was also Judith Heale’s first event as the new Chair of the Bath & West Wilts Group, so congratulations Judith, a fantastic start to your rein as Chair!

The CIPD West of England Branch Committee thought it would be a great idea to have a blog to keep you all up-to-date with Branch and Head Office goings on.

So here we are!

We have just had our 2009 AGM and followed this with our Branch Strategy Day on the 19th June 09 which went really well, and we had members of Head Office come and present the latest updates on the FRAMES project and the Routes Map as well as what the future of the Branches might look like.
